Tekonsha Township is a small rural farming community. It is a community of residents believing that home is where the heart is and neighbors know their neighbors as friends. We believe in our children having a good education in and out of school, set by example not just books. We welcome visitors, knowing that no one remains a stranger for long in our community.

ProfileWe are a township of people dedicated to the principals of purpose and perseverance.Our Township Officials, Fire Department, Library, Historical Society and local businesses all work together to provide the best environment for our residents to reside.Many who have visited chose to stay. One of our newest residents said when he drove through town and saw everyone walking about, stopping to chat, many lining up for the Memorial Day Parade on Main Street, he knew it was where he wanted to raise his 4 year old daughter Our Supervisor, Lisa Long; Our Treasurer, Pamela Herman; Our Clerk, Bradley Smith; Our Trustees, Frank Thomas and Rick Phelps; Our Cemetery Sexton, Marcia Thomas; Our Tax Assessor, Marcia Bail; Our Current Fire Chief; Bill Burchfield, Our many community volunteers, all work diligently with the residents of Tekonsha Township to assure their questions are answered, their concerns are addressed in a prompt, efficient manner.
